Student Branding Blog: Blog About A Book

January 18, 2010 by Bret L. Simmons · Filed under: Personal Branding

My most recent post at The Student Branding Blog is entitled “Blog About A Book.”  If you are serious about personal branding, you need to be blogging. As you promote your brand with social media, always remember that content is king and conversation is queen. At your blog, you need to consistently deliver compelling content that draws people in to converse with you.

But if you are like most people that blog, you will reach a point where you struggle to continue to produce fresh content. One of the best ways to no only improve yourself but to also get a source of new content is to read books associated with your value, then blog about what you learned from the book. I discuss how I have done this successfully in the new blog post, so please check it out!

And as always, a BIG personal thanks Melissa Kong, the editor of The Student Branding Blog. She works hard on that site and I really appreciate her.  Thanks, Melissa!
