Personal Branding: Why You, Why Now?

Personal branding is about assuming full responsibility for yourself and the success of your career.  Whether you are 21 years old and just getting started or 48 years old and looking to make a change, personal branding can help you get the job you love and deserve working for people that understand you and fully appreciate your value.

The more clarity you can bring to understanding your value – what you can do uniquely well to help others address opportunities and solve problems that matter to them – the better prepared you will be to continuously improve your value, communicate your value to others, and leverage your value in ways that will keep you working for people that will treat you as a valuable asset.

This is why I am so passionate about spreading the good news about the power of personal branding.  Personal branding is right for you, right now.

  1. I think the hesitation for most people to start personal branding is deciding where to limit themselves.

    Most human beings are multifaceted, and I believe many get hung up with a sort of analysis paralysis about what sides of themselves to show, and which not to show…

    What barriers to you think are common for people who want to, but don’t pursue personal branding?

    I agree, Glenn. I also see a lot of people worrying that they have to get it right the first time, and that they brand has to be perfect. That’s an unrealistic expectation. Just get started and then work on improvement. Thanks, bret
